Seaside Expressions: A Celebration of Beaches & Seascapes

Seaside Expressions: A Celebration of Beaches & Seascapes

This month, we’re embracing the vibrant energy of summer with a special feature, “Seaside Expressions: A Celebration of Beaches & Seascapes.” In this blog edition, we pay tribute to the stunning beauty of coastal landscapes, showcasing works by both iconic and contemporary artists, including select pieces printed right here in our studio.

From timeless classics to the latest contemporary works, our curated selection captures the essence of seaside life through a spectrum of themes, subjects, and vivid colours, with a special emphasis on seascapes and beach scenes. Let’s dive into some of the standout pieces from our collection:

We’re excited to kick off with the incredible work of our June Artist of the Month, Georgia Morgan, whose contemporary seascapes are a true celebration of the ocean’s ever-changing beauty. Her pieces evoke a deep connection to the sea, capturing both its serenity and its raw power.

Next, we’re proud to feature a stunning seascape by Victoria Kirtley, printed right here in our studio. This piece is a beautiful testament to the tranquility and majesty of the sea, inviting viewers to experience the calm and wonder of coastal life.
We’re also excited to include Claude Monet's The Beach at Trouville. This classic Impressionist painting reflects the quiet pastimes of contemporary society at the beach during Monet’s time, showcasing his masterful use of light and colour.

In addition, we’re shining a spotlight on Vincent van Gogh’s timeless masterpiece, Seascape near Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. With its bold colors and dynamic brushstrokes, this iconic work remains a powerful example of how the sea has inspired artists throughout history.
Lastly, we’re thrilled to showcase a breathtaking portrayal of Horgabost, Harris by Glasgow-based artist, and March Artist of the Month, Jenny Hunter. Her work captures the rugged beauty of Scotland’s coastlines, transporting viewers to the remote and stunning beaches of the Outer Hebrides.
We hope you’ve enjoyed this journey through our “Seaside Expressions” collection, celebrating how beaches and seascapes continue to inspire the art world. We invite you to share your own beach or sea-inspired artwork with us, and don’t forget to check back next month for our new theme!
